Parasite Remover treats your fish for parasites. The optimum Copper range for treatment is 0.15-0.20ppm. This is to be used in a fish only treatment tank. Do not use it in your main aquarium or an aquarium with low pH/alkalinity. Do not use on scaleless fish. Before using this product or any other Copper based medical treatment, it is highly advised that you thoroughly research what effects it can have on your target fish and the parasite that you are treating.
Suitable for these environments:
Freshwater | Saltwater
Contents:
Deionised Water, Copper Sulphate
Instructions:
Shaking is not required. Add directly into high water flow. For accurate dosing, the dosing formula is total volume of aquarium and external filter minus all media, rock, ornaments, etc. that occupies volume. This product cannot be used on a dosing pump.
Dosing:
100mL
Use only in a separate fish only treatment tank and add slowly to high water flow.
1 drop per 10L or 2.6 US gal will raise Copper by ~0.1ppm.
We recommend after the treatment (i.e. parasite has been completely removed) that you continue to quarantine your fish for at least 4-8 weeks. During this time: stop dosing Parasite Remover and use our Reef Essential® Bio-Active Carbon™ (alongside frequent water changes) to help remove Copper levels within your treatment tank. This will help reduce the risk of Copper leaching from your treated fish into your main tank upon reintroduction. We strongly advise you consistently test (at least twice a day) for Copper, ammonia/ammonium, nitrate, nitrite, alkalinity and pH when using this product.
Note: 20 drops = ~1mL.
250mL and 500mL
Use only in a separate fish only treatment tank and add slowly to high water flow.
1 drop from a standard pipette per 100L or 26 US gal will raise Copper by ~0.01ppm.
