Freshwater Essential® Plant Essential® Canister Carbon™ (Pelletised Activated Carbon) has an immense mechanical strength designed to withstand the high-water pressures present within canister filters. Freshwater Essential® Plant Essential® Canister Carbon™ also has improved hydrodynamics which allows water to pass through with relative ease. Freshwater Essential® Plant Essential® Canister Carbon™ will remove organic waste, toxins, phenols (colour), odour, heavy metals, chlorine & chloramine without leaching phosphate affecting pH or releasing the molecules it has adsorbed. Freshwater Essential® Plant Essential® Canister Carbon™ is suitable for canister filters, internal filters, powder filters, hang on filters and other high-pressure/flow equipment.

Includes a FREE 800 micron zipper-locked bag and measuring cup

Instructions: 

Use the measuring cup provided for volume or household scales for mass. Values are approximate. Rinse in RODI water until run off becomes clear before each use. Replace carbon every month or as required. For accurate dosing, the dosing formula is total volume of aquarium and external filter minus all media, rock, ornaments, etc. that occupies volume.

Place in high water flow area or reactor on the slowest setting. 

1kg/2L 

Treats up to 6,666L or 1,761 US gal 

Place in high water flow area or reactor on the slowest setting. 

2.5g/5L 

Treats up to 16,666L or 4,403 US gal 

Place in high water flow area or reactor on the slowest setting.
