Removes Black Beard and Other Nuisance Algae
Step 2 – Algae & Nutrient Control™
Plant Essential® Black Beard Remover is scientifically formulated to remove Black Beard Algae and other nuisance algae. Black Beard Algae (BBA) is one of the most common issues for freshwater aquariums and if left untreated, BBA can cover glass, wood and plants which may cause stress to your inhabitants. To help reduce stress within your aquarium we recommend maintaining a healthy environment by providing nutrients such as those found in our Plant Essential® Bio-Nutrients™, Plant Essential® Bio-Molecules™ & Plant Essential® Bio-Trace™ supplements. As the plants grow, they will naturally strip the key nutrients required by BBA, helping to slow growth rates. Plant Essential® Black Beard Remover is a highly effective means of removing BBA when combined with healthy water conditions and algae-eating inhabitants. Plant Essential® Black Beard Remover has been manufactured with only superior grade raw ingredients without the addition of toxic formaldehyde which can be common in cheaper alternatives. Please follow our dosing method correctly and do not overdose.
Suitable for these Freshwater environments:
Planted | Fish Only | Shrimp | Pond
Contents:
Deionised Water, Purified Polyglutaraldehyde
An important recommendation when using any type of algaecide is that extra attention is paid to the aquarium during the treatment process.
This is due to the nature of this method where algae are eradicated, breaking down into nitrogenous and organic molecules which may lower the concentration of oxygen due to being catabolised via bacteria. Additionally, eradicating algae which produces oxygen via photosynthesis, may lead to a decrease in oxygen concentration once it dies. This may have detrimental effects to aquarium inhabitants such as suffocation if adequate oxygen levels are not maintained.
Instructions:
Shaking is not required. Add directly into high water flow. For more accurate dosing, the dosing formula is total volume of aquarium and sump minus all media, rock, ornaments, etc. that occupies volume. This product cannot be used on a dosing pump.
