Clears Organic Build-Ups

Step 2 – Algae & Nutrient Control™ 

Plant Essential® Freshwater Essential® Black Guard™ is scientifically formulated to clear your plants, driftwood and other decorations of organic build-ups. Organic build-up is one of the most common issues for freshwater aquariums and if left unkept, it can cover glass, wood and plants which may cause issues in your aquarium. It is important to maintain stable nutrient levels as a preventative measure, such as those found in our Plant Essential® Bio-Nutrients™, Plant Essential® Bio-Molecules™ & Plant Essential® Bio-Trace™  supplements. Please follow our dosing method correctly and do not overdose. 

Suitable for these Freshwater environments:  

Planted | Fish-Only | Shrimp | Pond 

Contents:
– Deionised Water, Purified Polyglutaraldehyde 
 

Instructions: 
Shaking is not required. Add directly into high water flow. For accurate dosing, the dosing formula is total volume of aquarium and external filter minus all media, rock, ornaments, etc. that occupies volume. This product cannot be used on a dosing pump. 

Dosing:  

100mL 

It is important to ensure your aquarium is well oxygenated when using this product. As such, it is essential to dose with the lights on in the morning only. A 30-40% water change is highly recommended before use. When using this product, it is vital to pay extra attention to your aquarium and its inhabitants for any changes such as gasping due to lack of oxygen. We recommend an additional 30-40% water change in this case and to increase oxygenation immediately. 

Slowly add 16 drops per 10L or 2.6 US gal, then slowly add 4 drops per 10L or 2.6 US gal every second day for 1-3 weeks. If required, a longer duration may be necessary.

250mL, 500mL and 1L
